The Latest: Muslim woman's alleged attacker dismissed by IU

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) — The latest on the attack on a Muslim woman by a 19-year-old man in Bloomington, Indiana (all times are local ):
4:30 p.m.
An Indiana University spokesman says a 19-year-old man accused of attacking a Muslim woman and trying to remove her headscarf is no longer a student at the Bloomington campus.
IU spokesman Mark Land says the university's dean of students "dismissed" Triceten Bickford from the school Monday evening as a "direct result of what happened over the weekend." The woman was attacked outside a cafe Saturday night.
Land says that for privacy reasons he cannot go into the details of the university's action against Bickford, but says Bickford's dismissal from IU "wasn't his choice." Bickford is a Fort Wayne resident who had been a sophomore majoring in psychology.
