Longshoremen latest labor group endorsing Clinton candidacy

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) -- Hillary Rodham Clinton has another endorsement from a major labor group in her bid for the Democratic presidential nomination.
The latest nod comes from the International Longshoremen's Association and its 60,000-plus members in the maritime industry. Clinton is celebrating the endorsement Saturday at a local ILA union hall in Charleston, South Carolina.
The former secretary of state has started to get more organized labor support since coming out against the Obama administration's Trans-Pacific Partnership deal. That trend is a blow to her closest rival, Sen. Bernie Sanders.
The Vermont senator draws enthusiastic crowds as he praises the working class and rails against corporate greed. But labor leaders have been slow to back him formally...............
