A former U.S. State Department counterterrorism official was sentenced on Wednesday to 32 months in prison for surreptitiously filming women in their Washington homes, prosecutors said.

Daniel Rosen, 45, of Washington, was sentenced in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia on six counts of voyeurism and five counts of stalking, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said in a statement.

Rosen said that he had videotaped women for more than 25 years, according to court documents. He continued the activity even after he was questioned by police in 2013 and 2015.

A government official has said Rosen was the director of an office in the State Department’s counterterrorism bureau. He has been placed on administrative leave and his security clearance has been revoked.

In a just country, public officials would be held to a higher standard, and punished more severely when caught breaking the law. But instead, they and heads of corporate crime get light or no prison time. Total corruption. Say what you will about China, but just as they did Monday to one of their billionaires found to be corrupt, they HANG them. But again, when a black man here in Florida was caught shoplifting a bottle of cologne, the judge gave him 20 years in the pin. We have laws for the rich and powerful and laws for the poor. Our founding Fathers tried, but as the greatest historian in history, Will Durant, said, every government that has ever existed, in time became corrupt. We are at a point of no return. The solution? There is only one, they know it, why they have armed police agencies across the country with military weapons, and see every word we type. There will be no change here, and the other countries don't want us. I fear our youth will see much suffering in the years ahead as the land, water and atmosphere are destroyed as these sick sociopaths complete their goals.

I bought them up as an example of how they DO punish corrupt politicians, unlike us. When the fake additive that simulated protein was added to dog food sold here that caused deaths in many dogs, The head of the agency charged with overseeing it's use, was HUNG.

What exactly is it that you believe makes their government any worse than ours? Can't recall them attacking other countries to take their oil, like Bush did, killing thousands of it's citizens for the profit of a few. Our corporations must love them, seeing as OUR jobs were moved there by OUR profiteers. They didn't take our jobs, our greedy corporations GAVE them to them. So please, why the anti China statement.
