Netanyahu’s new media czar called Obama ‘anti-Semitic’

Source: Times of Israel

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s fresh appointment for spokesman, Ran Baratz, accused US President Barack Obama of anti-Semitism earlier this year.

“Allow me to diverge from my usual moderate ways and be a bit blunt,” he wrote in a March 3 Facebook post after Netanyahu addressed the US Congress on the Iran deal. “Obama’s response to Netanyahu’s speech – this is what modern anti-Semitism looks like in Western liberal countries. And it is of course accompanied by a lot of tolerance and understanding for Islamic anti-Semitism; so much tolerance and understanding that they’ll even give them [an atomic bomb].”

...

In addition to his posts disparaging Obama and Rivlin, Baratz also took aim at US Secretary of State John Kerry on October 18, 2014, after Kerry linked the Israeli-Palestinian conflict to the rise of the Islamic State terror group.

“I went to see Kerry’s speech, where he linked Israel and the Islamic State, and it was pretty hilarious, so I summed it up for you: After his term as secretary of state, Kerry can look forward to a flourishing career in one of the comedy clubs in Kansas City [where a gunman shot and killed three people at Jewish sites in April 2014], Mosul or the Holot detention facility,” where Israel confines many of the African migrants who have entered the country on recent years, Baratz wrote. It was not clear what connection he drew between these three locations.

Something tells me that unlike Senator Kerry, who has been praised around most of the world , I don't see this man ever being on the short list - much less getting "diplomat of the year".

Netanyahu really wants to double down with his campaign to be hated across the world.

Take the amount of aid we give them both militarily and other and divide it by the number of people living there.

We protect them, we give them money, we give them weapons, we throw our diplomatic support behind them.

They give us jack shit in return.

As an American, I certainly do object when a country that sucks at our national teat demonstrates such contempt for us.

So, yes, the Israelis do think they can get away with spitting in our face, because too many people here are inclined to let them get away with it.

apparently Israel wants to tell the world "yeah, we're a bunch of emotionally immature rightwing nutjobs. Suck on that."

Well, okay, message received.

They're not the most loathsome of our associates in the region--the Saudis will be tough to dethrone. But, they're certainly not Canada or the UK either.

And I certainly see no reason why such a country is worthy of our extreme generosity.

The US sacrifices for Israel and in return, Israel insults our leaders, steals our secrets, bombed our navy ship (the worst unprovoked attack against the US by another nation since WWII), and creates enemies for the US.

US support for Israel's atrocities were a major motivating factor for 9-11. American Israel worshipers are also a major part of the US war lobby that has cost us so much and has cost the Middle East so much more.

but they are certainly a major part of the war lobby now. That is a big reason the Middle East is our main target and our targets consist of the Israel-worshipers dream list of nations.

Other elements of the war lobby find the Israel worshipers convenient allies, so Dick Cheneys targets the Middle East (of course there’s oil there too) and he and his buddies get rich off the death and destruction.

Israel has a very successful lobby in the US. That is the main reason Israel gets so much support by the US Government, despite the obvious fact that the relationship is a very much net negative for the US.

JERUSALEM (AP) -- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says his newly appointed spokesman has apologized for a series of insulting comments about President Barack Obama and other public figures.

Netanyahu said in a statement Thursday that Ron Baratz had asked "to clear the air," and that the two men would meet after Netanyahu returns from an upcoming trip to the U.S.

Netanyahu announced the appointment Wednesday. Facebook posts then emerged in which Baratz suggested that Obama is anti-Semitic and that U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry should be a stand-up comic.

Netanyahu said the posts do not reflect his personal opinions.

Bibi in his quest to save his political dynasty ass in Israel....is giving the world more and more reason to "take notice". This only fuels the boycott of Israeli products....and the more that happens, the worse things get for citizens of Israel. But I'm guessing he's banking on being out of office when the chickens come home to roost....and enjoying the rest of his retirement in a villa, located outside of Israel.

History in the long term will regard him as one of the worst PM's. But he'll be dead by then...and probably doesn't care.

His successor will have to make the hard choices and alienate the settlers, Ultra-Zionist, etc. If he doesn't, then, face economic ruin of the country. Something South Africa under apartheid faced. Only, they have one other choice, give Palestinians their own nation. But who has the balls to renege on the idea of a greater Israel with borders that rivaled King David's? Certainly not Bibi.
