Invoking Nazis, Marco Rubio Hits Hillary Clinton for Not Saying U.S. Is at War With ‘Radical Islam’

Source: New York Times

Senator Marco Rubio of Florida, arguing that the United States is “at war with radical Islam,” sharply criticized Hillary Rodham Clinton for declining to characterize the perpetrators of the Paris attacks in that way, invoking Nazi Germany to make his point.

“That would be like saying we weren’t at war with Nazis, because we were afraid to offend some Germans who may have been members of the Nazi Party but weren’t violent themselves,” Mr. Rubio said Sunday on ABC’s “This Week.”

At the Democratic debate on Saturday night, Mrs. Clinton said she was wary of “painting with too broad a brush” while describing Muslims and terrorism.

“I don’t think we’re at war with all Muslims,” she said. “I think we’re at war with jihadists. We are at war with violent extremism. We are at war with people who use their religion for purposes of power and oppression.”

Mr. Rubio needs to learn some history. We declared war on Germany not the NAZIS, let alone Christians. Which the NAZIS were. To go back even further he needs to read the Treaty of Tripoli.

We declared war on Japan but our declaration did not include Germany or Italy. FDR realized that there was still enough ambivalent feeling in the country to do that. Hitler and Mussolini solved that problem for him by declaring war on the US.

Hillary is correct. We are not at war will all Muslims, we are at war with jihadists, with fanatics who have no regard for human life. It's scary to think that one of these folks in the Republican clown car could be president.

Paris Terrorist Attacks Part Of The ‘Organized Effort To Destroy Western Civilization’

Jeb Bush: No I’m not surprised. This is a war being created by Islamic terrorists. It’s not a law enforcement operation. And the mindset that in our country at least, needs to change to recognize it for what it is. This is an organized effort to destroy western civilization and we need to lead in this regard. We need to garner the alliances, fortify those alliances, reconnect with our counterintelligence and intelligence capabilities with our European allies and engage in the Middle East to take out ISIS which is the wellspring in more likely to be the wellspring of this type of activity. If it’s not them, there are other terrorist groups.

This is the war of our time and we have to be serious and engaging in creating a strategy to, to confront it and take it out.

They're a lethal bunch.

They have no differentiation between radical jihadists and the majority of Muslims.

If Rubio would read Jim Marrs, he'd get the idea that the Nazis won
the war and they are us now to some extent.

He's getting bright ...... not all Germans were Nazis, and not all Nazis
were violent ...

This sounds like Logic and Philosophy 101.

Is Rubio trying to make "Islam" and "the Muslims" into the enemy? Yes.
