Paris attacks: Third body found in flat raided by police

Source: BBC News

A third body has been recovered from the apartment in the Paris suburb of Saint-Denis raided by police after last Friday's attacks, prosecutors say.

They confirmed the body was that of 26-year-old Hasna Aitboulahcen, and was found overnight in a search of the flat following Wednesday morning's raid.

Hasna Aitboulahcen is widely reported to have been the cousin of Abdelhamid Abaaoud, and blew herself up.

Abaaoud, the suspected ringleader, was also killed in the raid.

The near-simultaneous attacks by suicide bombers and gunmen on bars and restaurants, a concert hall and sports stadium last Friday killed 129 people and left hundreds of people wounded.

I think the explosives expert turned himself in already.

The suspected explosives expert behind the Paris attacks has handed himself in to police, it has been reported. Mohammed Khoualed, who is from Roubaix in northern France, is thought to have assembled the explosives and detonators in the suicide vests, used by the terrorists, who killed 129 people in Paris on Friday 13 November.

most of the energy is directed with the penetrating jet, usually Copper.

We did a test with an RPG-7 against an Aluminum-bodied step-van. The blast cut a ragged 100 or so mm hole in the Aluminum, jet didn't even bend the metal. the blast pattern to the side looked much like the damage to the walls. It consisted of tiny fragments of alloy from the RPG body striking the surface with very little penetration.
These type of weapons are effective in penetrating Masonry walls to hit shooters hiding behind, as well as penetrating Steel.

French media have cast doubt on the possibility that the female cousin of the presumed ringleader of the Paris attacks blew herself up in Wednesday's police raid in the Saint-Denis suburb.

Police sources now say that the suicide bomber was in fact a man, not 26-year-old Hasna Ait Boulahcen.

Her cousin, alleged ringleader Abdelhamid Abaaoud is also confirmed to have died in the raid.

A third body was also found which is still being identified.
