CBS Gives Post-Super Bowl Slot To Stephen Colbert

CBS announced via press release that The Late Show with Stephen Colbert will air directly after the Super Bowl on Sunday, February 7, at approximately 10 p.m. EST (depending on if the game goes into overtime).Local news coverage will air after "Colbert". Online viewing levels for both shows is crushing that of their predecessors, and unlike with Letterman's "Late Show", CBS can make money off the show on online platforms. ABC launched "Jimmy Kimmel Live" on Super Bowl Sunday in 2003, but it aired following an episode of "Alias". Colbert is still leading the long race, averaging north of 1 million viewers in the key demo of adults 18-49 this season.
