Top pro-Kurdish lawyer shot dead in Turkey's southeast: hospital

Diyarbakir (Turkey) (AFP) - A top pro-Kurdish lawyer was shot dead Saturday while caught in the crossfire during an armed clash involving the police in Turkey's restive southeast, hospital sources said.

Tahir Elci, head of the bar in southeastern Diyarbakir province and a campaigner for Kurdish rights, died of gunshot wounds to the head, the hospital sources and witnesses told AFP.

Our selective media seems to be giving Erdogan and his increasingly Islamist Turkish government a free pass.

Nothing in the main street media about the ISIS oil deals.

Nothing about turning a blind eye to arm shipments to ISIS.

Nothing about his son making millions doing business deals with ISIS.

And I bet this "accidental" shooting of the lawyer will get zero coverage in our evening news also.
