Tyre (Lebanon) (AFP) - Two Katyusha-type rockets were fired from south Lebanon into Israel on Sunday, a Lebanese security source said, and in Israel the army said rockets had hit the north.
"Two Katyusha rockets were fired from a Lebanese village five kilometres (three miles) from the border with Israel," the Lebanese source told AFP.
A statement from Israel's military suggested that three rockets were fired.
"Sirens sounded in northern Israel. Initial report suggests three rockets hit northern Israel. Forces are searching the area," it said.

(2,103 posts)Three rockets exploded in northern Israel on Sunday evening, causing no casualties.
The rockets were believed to have exploded in open territories. The explosions were preceded by rocket sirens across the western Galilee region.
Israel responded with artillery fire into Lebanon.
According to reports in Lebanon, the rockets were fired from south of Tyre. No organization has taken responsibility yet for the rocket fire. Rockets that were fired from the same region in the past were later found out to be old rockets held by Palestinian organizations or members of international Jihad groups, but not Hezbollah.
