Chris Christie creeps up on Jeb Bush in New Hampshire
Source: Politico
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christies rise in New Hampshire is finally starting to cut into some of his competitors, most conspicuously former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush.
Christie, whos enjoyed a modest surge in the state through relentless campaigning, got some further good news on Tuesday: A new Quinnipiac national poll showed him just ahead of Bush. (A CNN/ORC poll out Wednesday also showed Christie ahead of Bush, 5 percent to 3 percent.) The New Jersey governor is already polling ahead of his establishment rival in the first-in-the-nation primary state of New Hampshire, pipping Bush in the RealClearPolitics average of state polls, 6 percent to 4 percent.
Bush added to the tension on Tuesday when, during a campaign event in Berlin, in New Hampshires far north, he contrasted his record with Christies in the latest sign of their emerging rivalry. I would say its the record of accomplishment my record in Florida compared to his, Bush said, going on to say that he's a reform-minded conservative that got to do big things, while Christie has had credit downgrades. We led the nation in job growth. New Jersey hasnt done as well.

The stakes for Bush and Christie are clear: Both men have made succeeding in New Hampshire a do-or-die prospect, with no clear path forward if they dont finish at or near the top. And both are vying for the same pool of voters: mainstream conservatives who arent comfortable with Donald Trump or Ted Cruz.

Jed Here !
You know when Christie was down there at two percent I thought about sharing my butterfly collection with him in a up close and personal Jebbie style heckacool little get together. But I've changed my mind because there really isn't room enough in any room or town hall for me, my butterfly collection and Chris Christie. Fact is telling it like it is ,Christie takes up far too much room.
I mean heck if they were try to pack him away in a jail cell ,they would be out of luck because truth is he just don't fit.
And that's the point he don't.
How can anybody see him as a fitting candidate for the oval office ,I mean even in New Jersey he don't fit in ! Is it possible he don't know he don't fit ?
How can that be !
The Donald here !
You know for 13 years or so I have admired Christie's tenacity, all the while knowing the blunt truth is he just don't fit in anywhere ,I mean not really. Now I know this is a terrible thing to say ,and I really hate to say it but since it has been said by a 3 per center , I second the loser who's campaign is total disaster on this one.
But folks in the greater interest of the entertainment values I must say,
Even in the state of Trump that is considered rude.
Stay tuned folks great entertainment ahead.

(3,194 posts)Is there anything else in the world where an increase from 3% to 5% is looked at as a reason for celebration?
It's like they're out there going....."Hip Hip Hooray!!! We're beating bush who is holding at 3 Percent! Looks like we're on our way!!
Bernie is pulling much higher #'s, but is being all but written off completely. Yet here's an article hyping up someone polling at 5%, a mere 35% behind the front runner.
They're in it for the money, the fundraising and the ability to use other people's money for themselves. There is no way any of these Morons polling below 10%, are going to come close to getting the nomination.
But they'll stay in the race until they've sucked the last dollar possible out of their supporters. Because that's what they do.

His campaign infrastructure beyond the first two states is almost nonexistent.

Christie has a secret operative in South Carolina- Like a spider Christie has a web and in that web streached out far and wide across the nation there are secret friends of Christie -Christie operatives known within their localities as rebuplican right wing Jersey transplants. They all return home for holiday visits and family visitations and of course meet with the big guy for updates on the grand scam to get um in. By the way they all liked Georgie ,some of them didn't know about his religion though ! Christie has one in many places -states ! If you wonder do they fit in or blend in, that answer is no.
