Bill Cosby arraigned, doesn't enter plea

Source: CNN

Bill Cosby was arraigned Wednesday on sexual assault charges in relation to a 2004 accusation. Cosby did not enter a plea, and bail was set at $1 million. A preliminary hearing has been set for January 14. Cosby turned over his passport.

Cosby, whose legacy as a comedian has been tarnished by multiple accusations of sexual assault, faces one felony charge of aggravated indecent assault.

This is the first criminal charge levied against Cosby since the allegations first arose. Cosby has steadfastly denied any wrongdoing.

After looking at all the evidence in the 2004 allegations, prosecutors decided to charge Cosby "because it was the right thing to do," Montgomery County prosecutor Kevin Steele said.

At the same time, when this thing really gets underway next year, it'll be a media circus that will suck a whole lot of oxygen out of the room at a critical time.

24/7 on cable news. Trump will have to step up his outlandish comments to maintain his coverage during any trial.

He will getaway with it. He also has a lot of fans that can weasel into the jury pool.

He'll get one, maybe two, get out of jail cards because of his money and fame.

If he was white, this would be a non-issue.

$15 million counts as wealthy, but not so wealthy you're immune. Cosby is worth $400 million.

A few incidents may be pushed under the rug I guess, but 40 certainly makes me wonder.
I hope this whole thing w/Cosby is resolved quickly. Guilty or not, we cannot keep hearing the accusations without resolution.

I hope they are able to get enough evidence and testimony to convict him.
