Obama vetoes GOP attempt to block water rule
By Timothy Cama - 01/19/16 07:22 PM EST

President Obama on Tuesday rejected an attempt by congressional Republicans to overturn his landmark regulation asserting federal power over small bodies of water.

The Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) rule, dubbed the Clean Water Rule or “waters of the United States,” would ensure that water used for drinking, recreation, economic development and other purposes is kept safe, Obama said in a message to Congress late Tuesday.

“We must protect the waters that are vital for the health of our communities and the success of our businesses, agriculture, and energy development,” Obama wrote in his veto message.

“Because this resolution seeks to block the progress represented by this rule and deny businesses and communities the regulatory certainty and clarity needed to invest in projects that rely on clean water, I cannot support it.”

They claimed the people stupidly elect Democrats and the mayor is a Democrat so there ya go.

It's their own damn fault. They should have known.

Case closed.

That would be alright but they have an audience that believes their nonsense and the media behaves as if their absurd claims carry great weight. But you already know that. I'm just saying.

Back when Limbaugh was all the rage one of the things that became obvious is they weren't interested in the truth. They were more interested in how things could be spun to their advantage. That's why some event would happen over the weekend and Dittoheads couldn't respond until their hero came on and told them how to spin it. So the audience doesn't actually BELIEVE some of this stuff. They just HATE the other side so much that they are looking for stuff to use against them.

to block local air pollution regulations, a friend once remarked, "But they have to breathe the same air as we do. Don't they want to breathe clean air?"
