I hate that dogs can end up in danger when used in police work.

After their training, they're no longer "poor dogs".

Misusing that instinct and endangering the dogs in the process does not make the dogs any less pitiable.

Do you think they have a choice in how they are trained, and what they are trained for, usually with negative reinforcement if positive doesn't work? It's a dog, not a soldier, and his instincts haven been manipulated.

yesterday I was sort of minding my own business, serving some food out at the local park to regular customers
when a pitbull or some variant jumped out of a car and attacked a one eyed australian shepherd that was walking by with
its owner towards the dog park. I ran as fast as I could and kicked the pit repeatedly in the side until it released the relatively
unharmed victim. The pit was covered in blood. The owner wasnt too happy with me, and me less with him.

I DO NOT BROOK DOGS BEING TRAINED OR EVEN ALLOWED TO HARM ANOTHER ANIMAL.

Yes they frequently try to waterboard subjects...then they break out the thumbscrews and the sodium pentothal..

....if I lay you tied up in front of a car and slowly roll over you until you talk, the car has not "been trained to torture", I am just using it wrong. Same with trained K9's, they aren't "trained to torture", they are trained to apprehend and take down subjects.

Let's have a debate on this and veer away from personal attacks if you can, unless you can't intelligently debate the use of police dogs on the merits.

Police dogs are trained to viciously attack not onlyalleged suspects, but non police citizens with no discretion. They have maimed 4 year olds. We watch on reality TV viciously attack people of color, but I guess since they're subhuman scum who cares?

The use of Police K9s in the US is no better than what happened in Abu Ghraib. Apologists for this type of state sanctioned torture from the left is unbelievable.
