In Kalamazoo - Western Michigan University. Have to wonder if the shooting happened at or near the campus as it has been a warm February evening in Michigan -- temps today in the 60's as a high today and 40's this evening - so it is likely students were out walking around campus tonight.

Right down the street as a matter of fact. Could have been a close call.

Confirmed by Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety. Suspect located in downtown Kalamazoo and apprehended without incident.

Kinda poor communication? Weapons recoverd from suspects car. Law enforcement refusing to disclose type or number.

shooting about 100 mile s. of me. and yes, they have someone in custody.

It looks like they have the shooter.

Six adults deceased.
One adult female in serious condition.
One 9 year-old in critical condition.
"Strong suspect" taken into custody without incident.
Weapons recovered from suspects vehicle.
No connection between victims and suspect.

The Washington Post story has this:

"Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety Chief Jeff Hadley says a 14-year-old girl who originally had been pronounced dead by medical officials is still alive. Hadley says Sunday morning the teen remained in serious condition."
