Former Arizona governor Jan Brewer, prominent voice on immigration reform, endorses Donald Trump

Source: Washington Post

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump was endorsed Saturday by former Arizona governor Jan Brewer, whose hardline positions on immigration reform and tussles with President Obama catapulted her to national prominence during her two terms in office.

“A nation without borders is like a house without walls – it collapses. As Arizona’s Governor, I witnessed too much heartache, loss and suffering caused by illegal immigration,” Brewer said in a statement announcing her endorsement. "For years I pleaded with the federal government to do their job and secure our border. Today, we can elect a President who will do just that -- Donald J. Trump.”

With her endorsement, Brewer delivers Trump the support of a former two-term governor with outsize credibility on immigration issues among Republicans. But she is also someone who managed to walk the fine line Trump seeks as he inches toward the GOP nomination: a prominent voice in the party whose frequent battles with the conservative establishment made her a populist favorite.

The former governor was at the center of a heated debate over immigration reform when she signed a controversial enforcement bill into law in 2010, which was later partially struck down by the Supreme Court. She and President Obama generated headlines in 2012 when they were seen engaging in a heated discussion on a Phoenix airport tarmac during a visit by the president.

That's like calling David Duke "a prominent voice on race relations."

A better description for Brewer would be hateful, loudmouth asshole.

Today, thanks to the RW hate radio shows, Faux Snooze and the like, these people have been emboldened to where they run for offices as high as POTUS and they incorporate their xenophobia and racism into their campaign and public comments. Seeing all of these loudmouths like Christie, Palin, Duke and Brewer proudly endorse Trump and his antics for POTUS is a display on how far this has gone.

Seriously, do these Trump supporters think he will be an effective and good POTUS? What has he ever accomplished to merit that consideration? Inheritance is not a life skill. In one of his few moments of making sense, Rubio pointed out at the last Republican debate that Trump would be a street peddler had he not inherited his wealth from daddy bigbucks.

the Civil Rights era) but they are 'loudly and proudly' front-and-center now with their racism and xenophobia. And their leading candidate continues to stoke their racism and xenophobia and give it a veneer of 'respectability' that they have not had before.

Ask Donald how he'd rate Jan Brewer on the Howard Stern show, and sit back with your barf-bag. These two can cannibalize each other.
