(1,432 posts)Bernie won our precinct overwhelmingly 45-5.
I live in Denver in a heavy Hispanic area. Bernie didn't seem to be hurting for support from that block of people.
I was an Indy for 23 years, so this was my first time caucusing as a Democrat. It was an interesting experience and I felt a lot of pride taking part in it.
I've been undecided on whether I could support Hillary if she wins the nomination. I will not be happy about it, but the camaraderie I felt in this process made me realize that my personal ideals aren't as important as keeping the GOP out of the White House.
Go Bernie! Proud to be a Democrat today!

Camaraderie at a caucus would be really cool. The closest we get to that here in Alabama is we get in the little short line to ask for the Democratic ballot while getting the evil eye from the folks waiting in the long Republican line.

(14,587 posts)Lots of people came out for Bernie, and we proposed three planks for the party platform; Medicare for all Americans, resolve student loan crisis and overturn Citizens United. It was great.
And I do second the other comment on keeping Trump out of the WH.

(5,902 posts)A close result makes it that much more exciting, don't you think?
And yes, given that today's GOP seems incapable of nominating someone other than a Greg Stillson, our nominating someone that isn't a GOTV dream come true for Republicans (as Hillary is) is more important now than ever.
Here's to you!

I've never done this before, but what great fun it was to meet so many kindred spirits among my neighbours.
We should do this more often!
