Russia-Ukraine discuss jailed Ukrainian and Russian 'soldiers'

Source: BBC

The Russian and Ukrainian leaders have had a telephone conversation over the fate of jailed high-profile prisoners, raising the possibility of a swap.

The call came after Ukraine jailed two alleged Russian special forces soldiers for several crimes including terrorism.

Yevgeny Yerofeyev and Alexander Alexandrov are accused of involvement in Ukraine's conflict with pro-Russian rebels in the east.

A Russian court jailed Ukrainian Nadiya Savchenko for 22 years in March.

Two Russisn soldiers clearly caught and tried in Ukraine and one Ukranian soldier captured in Ukraine then kidnapped and tried in Russia.

Really.

Oddly, though, it is intriguing that the West European bird-flipping has taken over from the East European fig-showing.

I wonder if they say pokazaty palets instead of figu. Might check on that.

You rarely see that type of resistance in Russian courts. Pussy Riot did pretty much the same thing

I even posted an article about secret funerals of Russian troops killed in Ukraine and they still said it was "propaganda"
