Two New MH370 Parts Identified

Two items discovered on the coast of Mozambique have been identified as debris from Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, according to Australian officials. The Australian Transport Safety Bureau said Tuesday that two separate pieces of the Boeing 777s wing have been positively identified, in part due to markings on both pieces.

(40,416 posts)I did sonic testing on the KC-135R, a high performance re-engined military version of the Boeing 707 -- actually the military version came first. This happened in the early 80's and those refueling tankers are still flying, just like some of the Boeing B-52s, a design which goes back to the 50's.
The USA has had several bomber upgrades, the B-58 "Hustler", the F-111, the B-1, the B-2... None of them have outlasted the B-52. Still flying.
As was the "Leper Colony" in 1962, that is until it hare-lipped everybody on Bear Creek.
