Grand jury indicts Johnny Manziel on misdemeanor assault charge
Source: ESPN
Embattled quarterback Johnny Manziel has been indicted by a Dallas County grand jury on a misdemeanor assault charge, Dallas' ABC News 8 and CBS Dallas/Fort Worth reported, citing sources.
The formal announcement is expected to come Monday. Manziel's case was heard by a grand jury on Thursday.
Manziel, a former Cleveland Browns quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner at Texas A&M, is accused of hitting his ex-girlfriend Colleen Crowley so hard that she temporarily lost hearing in one ear.
Crowley requested and was granted a protective order against the 23-year-old quarterback that prevents him from seeing her for two years.

You're right -- his career and life are a train wreck. Manziel had an incredible opportunity that others work hard to get a shot at for their whole lives. He's thrown it away.

My guess is, he surrounds himself with apologists and toadies who will say whatever they think he wants to hear
That he's been dropped by two agents should have told him something
Jim Mc Mahon he isn't

(1,219 posts)but his behavior looks a whole lot like a manic bi-polar episode. Left untreated, which certainly appears to be the case, they usually continue and can worsen, to include delusions and psychosis. Self medicating with alcohol and/or drugs doesn't help, nor do toadies.
