Young Republicans National Federation chair resigns: 'I will not fall in line' for Donald Trump

Source: Daily Kos

Many high-powered Republicans who have previously stated they would never support Republican nominee Donald Trump are now walking back and bowing down to His Royal Whiteness. But there is one Republican who, on Monday, decided to leave her position as Communications Chair of the Young Republicans National Federation. Think Progress reports Katrina Elaine Jorgensen will no longer lead the organization of 18 to 40-year-old Republicans who give grassroots support to GOP candidates and conservative causes.

Jorgensen writes that in her quest to become a part of the White House conversation, she never could have imagined this outcome and can no longer use her skills to head the Young Republicans without “losing her soul.” She adds that it’s the prerogative of others to support Trump, but she will not support a candidate who endorses “bigotry and lawlessness” with little comprehension of the fiscal policies long associated with the conservative party. In a final blow, Jorgensen said she will not fall in line, will not give up her principles, and will remain #NeverTrump.

Lindsay Graham was more critical, and is now totally on board.

Lindsay caved? I take back my scintilla of admiration for him taking a principled stand. I should have known better.

There were reports that he was encouraging people to donate to Trump's campaign but he has denied it.
He doesn't really care, he has 4 years left on his current term. He always turns into teaparty the two years before an election but - other than being extremely hawkish - is fairly decent for a republican the other 4 years.

The head of the republican governor's assoc. who is Gov. of New Mexico would not
appear on the same stage w/Trump when he was in N.M. yesterday and neither did
the Lt. Governor or the Mayor of Albuquerque because they were "busy."

Trump is a mentally ill unqualified ass hole and even some republicans know that.

It's like admiring someone for advocating Not Crossing The Street In Traffic...seems like something your average, everyday Standard Human should be able to figure out. Billions of people around the planet DONT support Fascists EVERYDAY, and don't say anything about it and don't seem to expect a pat on the head for what they've done...

What's to comprehend? Cut taxes on the wealthy, increase military sending, cut any safety net programs you can get away with, watch the deficit balloon to historic proportions, do nothing about it, wait until a Democrat gets in the oval office, then scream and yell that all this "deficit spending" must stop and we're going over a cliff.

Rinse and repeat.
