Trump: Obama talked about a 'world that doesn't exist'

Source: The Hill

Donald Trump on Thursday criticized President Obama's endorsement speech of Hillary Clinton at the Democratic National Convention, saying that the president described a "world that doesn't exist."

Trump tweeted that almost three quarters of the population think “our country is going in the wrong direction.”

During his speech, Obama criticized Trump's campaign slogan, "Make America great again," by saying that “America is already great” and accusing Trump of having a "deeply pessimistic vision" of the country. “I promise you, our strength, our greatness, does not depend on Donald Trump,” Obama said.

“Our power doesn’t come from some self-declared savior promising that he alone can restore order. We don’t look to be ruled,” he added.

Just want to point out that 3/4's of the OP quoted is Trump and Drudge bashing democrats.

And over half the actual article linked to consists of that too. It's a very short article.

That's' what the three hashtags, ###, mean; the entire story is in the OP.

I think it interesting Matt Drudge doesn't know Hillary Clinton won the nomination Tuesday night; the President wasn't nominating her.

He uses one of the most misleading polling statistics out there to make a non-point. Let's accept that 70% saying the country is going in the wrong direction. Don't know what the real numbers are but let's say for arguments sake that 1/2 of those respondents think the country should go in a more progressive direction, a quarter think there is too much change and a quarter think we should move in a more conservative direction. So the 70% doesn't really mean anything unless you ask the followup question of which direction would you like to see the country go. Which of course the almost never do. As far as we know that statistic could be saying that most people do not want to go in the direction Trump wants to take us but there is no way to know.

speaking engagement, never visiting the city, never holding talks with the locals, never visiting a restaurant. He just races to and fo from airport to speaking center, never actually know anything about the people or city he speaks in. BTW, has Trump ever visited a military base, traveled overseas to meet with our military? NO, he has no knowledge about America, our military, our economy, our people, how they live. He lives in Trump Towers isolated from the America and the world. And this guy thinks he can be President, He has no clue.

Obama talked about a world with liberty and justice for all that doesn't YET exist, and how we won't get there by following homegrown demagogues. He shoulda just picked up the mic and just dropped it right there.
