Clinton, Allies Have Reserved $98 Million in Ads

Source: NBC

Hillary Clinton and her allies are poised for a TV ad blitz of nearly $100 million dollars, compared to less than $1 million currently reserved on the airwaves by backers of Donald Trump.

According to ad-tracking data provided to NBC News by SMG Delta, Clinton's campaign and pro-Clinton group Priorities USA Action have reserved a combined $98 million through the fall so far, while pro-Trump PAC Rebuilding America Now has just about $817,000 set to air at this time.

I'm sure they know what they're doing, just seems at odd with the Politico-esque consensus of where the tipping points are.

Would like to see some money put towards GA and AZ.

CO only went blue in 2008. It makes sense to hold the "new" (Presidential election) light blue states like CO, NV, VA, & FL and try to regain NC (that went for Obama in 2008 but not in 2012). One not yet on the list is IN (which went Obama in 2008 but not 2012).

If they can get some solid party infrastructure in GA (with the Carters), then that deserves an attempt. AZ is trickier, although if the states all around are or have started going blue (like CA, NM & NV), then it has a better chance as a place to try... However keep in mind, a number of RW loons that used to live in CA, fled to places like AZ or ID, so they probably still have a hardcore group in there. And unless the native Americans and hispanics kick up the vote big time, it will be a slog flipping it any time soon.

I remember in 2008 when a good number of disaffected Republicans (at least around here in the Philly burbs) voted for Obama and were even bold enough to put up lawn signs (although most still stayed in their party and voted R the rest of the ticket). This go-around, these same folks have had it... and like you saw with George Will, they are changing to "Independent" or "Unaffiliated". That gives them cover to still vote R if need be, but it removes the tar and feathers association with the current crop of GOP loons.

The Dems have been pretty successful at raising money this time around. I don't like Citizens United, but I'm sure the GOP and their allies thought it would all work out nicely for them.
