McConnell: GOP's Senate Future is 'Very Dicey'

Source: The Daily Beast

During a Thursday night event, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says the GOP's chances of maintaining control in the senate are "very dicey," signalling concern about the party's midterm chances if Donald Trump wins the presidential election. McConnell reaffirmed his support for Trump, but said Senate Republicans would need to be "on defense" even if Trump wins, adding that he hopes Trump "settles down and follows the script."

wanted and worked hard to be for 30 years, largely by being the go-to man in whatever office he's held for powerful backers. He loves being powerful and using power. He just seemingly has no interest in using it for anything but building his own power base. To that end he has betrayed all who voted for him and done genuine harm to many.

Notably, he's built no real legacy of lasting achievement in all his years in Congress, so that people wondered if he would finally start now that he had reached his pinnacle. The answer's been no. Just more of the same.

But he's very far from stupid, he's extremely knowledgeable about how to use power in Congress, and he does not do absolutely nothing. Quite the contrary. He works very hard to come through on the investments of those who can help make him even more powerful, for instance by designating yet more people they can get elected to Congress who will then be grateful to and dependent on him.

He is a very bad, corrupt man, incredibly unworthy of holding any office, and I am sooo hoping to watch his life's dream collapse.

Wish you were up on this go-around. We'd be rid of your scourge, the tragedy that you preside over. You are a menace to our freedom and democracy. You should be ashamed of yourself!
