Poll shows Donald Trump widening lead in Missouri
Source: KMBC
Public Policy Polling, a firm that does a lot of work for Democratic candidates, said its poll shows Trump with a 6-point lead over Hillary Clinton in Missouri.
The survey of 1,055 likely voters has Trump leading 47 percent to 41 percent, with 11 percent undecided. Two other recent polls had Clinton within one point of Trump in Missouri.
The website Real Clear Politics rates Missouri a toss-up, even though a Democrat hasnt carried the state in 20 years.
The poll also shows Blunt with a 4-point lead over Democratic Secretary of State Jason Kander with 10 percent still undecided.

(22,670 posts)begun. And secondly, does HRC have campaign offices there (Missouri 10 electoral votes)? If there were voter registration drives and teams of people canvasing to GOTV, I could see at least 48 states going blue this election.

(543 posts)In July, PPP had Trump ahead in Missouri by 10% .
A lead cannot widen from one pollster to a different pollster.
as even the snippet of the article says, Missouri always goes Republican.

(520 posts)Missouri is full of uneducated white men, and that is the demographic that Trump is doing very well with. Same for most of the Southern states. He's up +21 in places like West Virginia.

(27,315 posts)These people have no clue what they are talking about, as most media people when it comes to polls.
As somebody already posted, the previous PPP has Trump up by 10. Two August polls have him up by 1 and 2. Hard to figure out if the lead is widening or narrowing.

(20,687 posts)With MO counted as R, he's 191. Even if fRump got every one of those ties, he still comes in 230, 40 points below the needed 270.
Yawn.
