Source: PoliticusUSA
Donald Trumps appearance at an African-American church in Detroit went wrong, as the congregation rejected Trump by not showing up to hear him speak.

There is video at the link. The few people that did show up were mostly white.

(25,111 posts)did not show a very tiny small crowed where many left while T-rump was spouting hate during the immigration speech in AZ.

(7,888 posts)I watched and read headliners without a mention. Our national media outlets do not deploy journalists, or reporters to the scene of many crimes against the value of a "free press". It's entertainment and ratings, without any measure of content and quality.

(30,755 posts)They did not show the empty church or make any reference to the size of the crowd. They spoke in positive terms about Trump's speech, and about how much more gentle and calm he was today.
Total BS and pro-Trump propaganda.

(13,873 posts)Don't people realize it may simply be pictures from two different times? Walk into a football stadium at 7am and there may be 60 people there; come back at 7pm and there may be 60,000.
But, many on this board would rather depict this as another proof of the right-wing media conspiracy against everything Democratic.

Trump is getting coverage because he is making news- and much of it is hurting him.

(13,873 posts)Why didn't CNN cover Trump and the empty church? Because it didn't happen except in a misleading post at DU.
Don't care to argue the point, but it makes us sound a little like the Glenn Beck crowd to be constantly griping that there are huge media conspiracies against us. We are winning, and most MSM coverage of Trump that I see presents him as a dishonest, racist buffoon.

(49,996 posts)It's also a wide angle lens. Looks like about the same number of rows of empty chairs as full. However, it's also likely that a fair number of the people are also trump staffers and volunteers.

(5,068 posts)church, there are about 7 rows of people. From there back it is empty. Amazing what a deceptive angle can do.
oberliner
(58,724 posts)The shot from the back shows 7 empty rows. So how about half-full/half-empty?
I mean this does show at least 7 full rows.

(67,782 posts)....the photograph at the link is not the church where he spoke. Look at the gold railing behind him when he spoke, and look at the backdrop in the mostly empty room.
He's doing a good enough job of defeating himself, please let's not start doing what Breitbart, Fox News, etc. do - use phony or incorrect photographs to "prove" something.

(1,325 posts)Just imagine Hillary going into a not-full church like that? The media would be all over her for not connecting with the people etc. Now cue to MSNBC to have Chuckie and others truth'splain what it really means and how tRump is showing his softer side blah blah blah. I swear the media spends more time covering this squawking yam than does faux noise. Why is STFU donny doing so well in the polls? Because the media not only gives him a free ride - they have been propping up this clown to make it a horse race. As much as I detest everything about STFU donny, the media's complicity makes me wretch. That is what is truly disappointing about this whole election.

Just a fan of true and accurate information.
The more truth and accuracy, the better it is for HRC, since Trump's entire candidacy is predicated on nothing but lies.

(50 posts)I would hope that our side is infinitely better than Trump's, at every level, including the representation of reality. Stories which exaggerate the positives about Hillary's campaign, or the negatives about Trump's reek of desperation - They make me think of poll-denying Trump supporters.
I understand the importance of feel-good news, but there's a difference between what is and what we all wish it was - that's all.
