Bill Clinton set to fill in for Hillary Clinton at two Beverly Hills fundraisers Tuesday

Former president Bill Clinton will headline two fundraisers in Beverly Hills on Tuesday after Hillary Clinton was forced to cancel a trip to California to recover from pneumonia.

The former president will fill in for his wife at a Tuesday afternoon gathering at the Beverly Hills home of Seth MacFarlane, which will feature a performance by Lionel Richie, and at a dinner Tuesday night at the Beverly Hills home of Diane von Furstenberg and Barry Diller, according to a person familiar with the plans.

The Democratic presidential nominee's illness, which caused her to leave a Sept. 11 commemoration ceremony in New York early Sunday, is forcing her to miss three finance events in California, but they are scheduled to continue in her absence.

I find all the media speculation that she has been hiding because she is more comfortable being around rich donors laughable, considering it is well known in Washington how much she hates asking for money for herself. She is ok with doing it for other candidates, but her staff have to drag her kicking and screaming to ask for money for her own campaign.
