In an online ad, a smiling Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted holds up a letter with his name in large print and the promise, “Your absentee ballot request form is in the mail.”

But for 1 in 7 registered voters in Ohio, this is not true.

Husted, a Republican in his second term as the state elections chief, has decided not to send absentee ballot applications to 1,032,775 registered voters who, reportedly, did not vote in the 2012 or 2014 federal elections (although many have voted in off-year elections) or who are thought to have moved.

Some, a Beacon Journal investigation has found, have voted as recently as March and have not, in fact, moved. This includes some of the 36,822 Summit County voters who aren’t getting the absentee ballot applications this year.....................................

A change of address was made to the Post Office, as a moving family member, not having myself as the primary.

I did receive the "invitation to vote absentee", about three weeks ago.

Though, I did vote in 2012 & 2014

Gerrymandering and purging Democratic voters. Since I vote every election I did received mine in the last Sat.

We need to get rid of Rob Portman and John Kasich. Kasich is running for president in 2020.

If you vote absentee and do not vote in 2 consecutive election. You will be scrubbed from the absentee roster. Though you are still registered

And before Husted, people in OH weren't getting those. Husted is the one who is sending them out to 6 out of 7 registered voters. Seems very wasteful to me because people who don't plan to vote absentee don't need the form, and people who do could just have requested it. I guess Husted figured out that more republicans vote absentee than democrats.
