Lawmaker’s Wife Denies Prostitution Charge

Source: Political Wire

The wife of Rep. Charles Boustany (R-LA) is defending him against prostitution allegations raised in a new book, describing “false attacks” that she says are aimed at disrupting his bid for a U.S. Senate seat in Louisiana, the AP reports.

In an email sent to supporters, Bridget Boustany suggests her husband’s opponents are spreading the information, which she called “lies.”

Sure he can tell if these charges are true just by reading about him
and writing a letter.

It sounds like the wife was charged with prostitution. I see so many misleading headlines these days and some that don't even make sense.

Edit for grammar.

If the headline is intelligible, I'm not inclined to want to read the article. I remember working on school newspapers and a lot emphasis was placed on the headlines. Do journalists even take courses in journalism anymore?

and it's the first one about this jerk in LBN.

If you post your LBN story in LBN, it will stay in sight, with any luck, and people will see it when they look at the first page, unless it has slipped to the middle or the bottom of the page, and they don't bother to look. Most people do see them, and won't duplicate them.

In GD, stories flash past like comets.

It has been routine for stories to show up in both places.

Your best bet in getting your story seen is to post it in LBN, if it's under 12 hours old.

There are a lot of posters who don't have the time every day to go to other forums, and speed through LBN to try to make sure they catch all the big stories at the time they check in here.
