Trump toughens anti-abortion stance

Source: The Hill

Donald Trump has recruited the influential anti-abortion leader Marjorie Dannenfelser to lead his campaign’s national “Pro-Life Coalition.” Not only that, but Trump has made a new policy promise that strengthens his anti-abortion position.

In a letter to anti-abortion leaders inviting them to join his coalition, Trump commits to a new policy: “Making the Hyde Amendment permanent law to protect taxpayers from having to pay for abortions.”

Trump’s commitment to making Hyde permanent law is new, though his running mate Mike Pence brought up the policy at an evangelical conference over the weekend.

In the letter, released by Dannenfelser's Susan B. Anthony List, Trump also endorses the anti-abortion movement’s two biggest legislative priorities: defunding Planned Parenthood and passing a national ban on abortions after 20 weeks.

while he rapes us in favor of Russia and China and North Korea. Goddess, what has this country done to deserve this jerk? We are better than that and he will destroy it all on purpose. We'd be damn lucky not to have the world destroyed by him using nukes on some country that hurt his "poor widdle feelings".

A Republican can be the cause of 99% of the things that these people bitch about, but if that Republican candidate says he or she is "pro life" then that's all it takes to win their votes. And by pro-life, these people pigeonhole the whole "life" issue on abortion.

The term "pro life" is a misnomer when it comes to most of these people I refer to. They supported Bush & Cheney and their lie-initiated and mismanaged wars, they support capital punishment, and they oppose any attempts at health care reform if it's initiated by a Democrat.

of NYC macho ego bravado at this point. Whatever Democrats support,
he's against it tenfold with anger and bluster and raucous noise. Very
very uncouth. Very uncouth. The most uncouth. Ever.

And Republicans are not very pro-life in their lack of acknowledgement of
mass shootings and illegal use of firearms. They barely tolerate the mention
of it.

That Trump's mistresses have had abortions.

Trump is just spouting this "pro-life" drivel to pander to the religious reich.

11. He said something v. similar about Melania (she tricked me). Barron and Tiffany must feel so loved.

I realize that they are heirs to a huge fortune, and that they don't need our pity, but I feel bad for both of them (although maybe they are actually lucky because of this) as their father barely spends any time with them. His few interactions with Barron at the RNC were so incredibly awkward -- when Trump would try to hug him (only when cameras were around) Barron always looked uncomfortable at best -- mostly he looked terrified when Trump would grab him.

Trump abandoned Tiffany for years, and only "permitted" Tiffany to appear with the anointed one, Ivanka, during this election cycle since reporters were asking questions about her. It was painful watching her trying to come up with reasons why Trump was such a great father at the convention.

12. Those who don't think this election is a big deal need to think hard about the supreme court

Honestly the damage Trump could do to the Supreme Court could affect the country for many decades. I have worried about the millennials who are less "enthusiastic" about Clinton as I don think they have any idea how serious the Supreme Court issue is -- Trump could appoint justices that would tilt the court far right, and abortion could be made illegal among many other changes.
