Donald Trump pledges to sign anti-LGBT law to permit religious discrimination

Source: Pink News

Donald Trump has pledged to repeal Barack Obama’s LGBT rights orders and sign a law permitting discrimination.
Mr Trump was once a moderate within the Republican Party on LGBT issues, suggesting that people shouldn’t be fired because of their sexuality.

But in a display of just how far he has sunk on the issue, the Presidential hopeful this week confirmed he would sign a extreme Republican-backed law to directly permit homophobic discrimination.

In a statement, Trump confirmed he would sign the so-called First Amendment Defense Act, which bans the government from taking any action “action against a person, wholly or partially on the basis that such person believes or acts in accordance with a religious belief or moral conviction that marriage is or should be recognized as the union of one man and one woman, or that sexual relations are properly reserved to such a marriage.”

The broadly written law would effectively legalize all discrimination against LGBT people in all sectors – from employment to retail to healthcare – as long as the person discriminating claims it was due to their religion.

So it would allow a bigoted employer to fire a woman, even if living with her partner but unmarried, if she became pregnant. Who knows, maybe they'd try to say someone only has to 'suspect' an unmarried person is having sex to allow the discrimination.

at least before he cozied up to those "stone the gays" fundy whackjobs in that "Christian" conference in Orlando, and cozied up to Tony Perkins.

I guess as long as he can use Gays to advocate attacks on Moslems, Gays are wonderful. That's how he champions all different kinds of American Peoples' rights.

He also "loves" the Blacks, as long as he can attack Mexicans and say Black Americans should have those migrant crop picking jobs, and dirty dangerous meat processing plant jobs.

Get him onstage under the spotlight, and don't let him get away with his normal "tell a transparent pathological lie" strategy.

To me, he's consistent in his inconsitencies. Every thing nazi he says, that's what he means. Everything that contradicts his nazi statements, that's the stuff he doesn't mean. He's consistently nazi, and his followers all know it.

He would create a huge deportation force, go to war with Mexico, drop nukes wherever he could, ban all Islamic worship and worshippers, pull out of NATO and give Putin free reign, eliminate the minimum wage and all gov regulations, punish women for abortion, privatize the VA, eliminate freedom of the press, promote all attacks on LGBTs, and all the other nazi stuff.

And he wouldn't NOT do all those things, even though he's walked back all those statements. His followers know he wouldn't NOT do those things, and they think their glorious leader and they are putting one over on all us normals, when they hear him say differently.

He really doesn't care about anyone unless he can use them. He's a con and manipulator. He is self absorbed, only cares about himself.

He's already lived a pampered life of riches, so now he is driven by thirst for power. In my opinion, he is a raging psychopath.

Apparently, the gay magazine Out is catching a bit of hell for this cover. The right whether it be its religious, racist, or political ideology, have always had a disdain for Gays. Milo is in bed with the worst of that lot. Why Out Magazine wanted to give this racist/misogynist cretin more notoriety is beyond me. I gather they are the chickens who like Colonel Sanders.

21st century Hitler. The similarities in many ways and the modus operandi are staggering. He's all about authoritarianism and scapegoating. Plus anything for a $. I bet a personality evaluation would reveal a true sociopath. He wants to be the first dictator of the US. The world should be shocked at this diabolical creature called Trump.

Is about half of this country really that stupid, brainwashed and uneducated. I notice that often in the best places to live on earth, anymore, the US doesn't even make the list.
