Ayotte calls Trump comments "offensive," does not withdraw her support for nominee

Source: WMUR

MANCHESTER, N.H. —Sen. Kelly Ayotte on Friday evening called Donald Trump’s 2005 lewd comments about women “totally inappropriate and offensive,” but did not pull back her support for the GOP presidential nominee.

A video first published by the Washington Post caught Trump on a hot open microphone in 2005 making explicit comments about trying to have sex with women. In the video, Trump used offensive language, sparking widespread outrage, especially among political opponents.

Trump later issued a statement, saying, “This was locker room banter, a private conversation that took place many years ago. Bill Clinton has said far worse to me on the golf course - not even close. I apologize if anyone was offended.”

WMUR.com asked Ayotte’s campaign to comment on the Trump video and whether she would continue to support him.

The video seems to have been shot around Sept. 16, 2005.

Barron was born March 20, 2006.

It is 185 days from the start date to the end date, or 6 months, 4 days excluding the end date.

Donald J tRump talked like that while he knew his wife was three months pregnant.

... so what's a Donald to do? Find an underling, kiss her, and grab her crotch. Isn't that what everyone does?

I wonder if this will cost him any votes.

Do you support Donald Trump's statements and bragging about groping and sexually harassing women?

"No."

Umm... but you still support Trump?

Far short of apologizing for what he actually said, though.

'if anyone was offended'??? Of COURSE people are offended. Apologize for the content of the statements, not that it ill do any good, at this point.

Senator Ayotte is not well, terribly cerebral.

She should dump Trump so fast it would make his head spin. But doesn't.

RI's entire Congressional delegation are Democrats! A lightweight like Kelly Ayotte would never get elected here!

She's from New Hampshire.

Supporting Trump is already hurting her in a close race. Now she is still supporting Trump even after this tape? She may have just sunk her chances.
