Pence Tells Donors He Is Fully Committed to Trump
Source: The Wall Street Journal
Speculation that Mr. Pence might leave the ticket, following in the footsteps of other Republicans who abandoned Mr. Trump on Saturday after the release of a videotape of the nominee making lewd comments of women, is categorically false, one aide said.
Governor Pence spoke enthusiastically about Mr. Trump, his pro-growth economic policies and the movement hes begun, said Marty Obst, director of Trump-Pence vice presidential operations. None of the donors at the Saturday fundraiser in Providence, R.I., canceled after the release of the video, or asked questions about it, Mr. Obst said.
Several guests remarked that they didnt want to get caught up trying to dissect every statement by Mr. Trump, Mr. Obst said. They were focused instead on his message and his positions.

(4,187 posts)That women are playthings for men and don't deserve respect? That it's acceptable to talk about women that way? That it's OK to force oneself on a woman -- a married woman, no less?
I have to say I'm not surprised that most Republicans are not bothered by Trump's words. After all, this is a party that denies women's humanity and sees women as baby-making machines who should not be allowed to have any say over what happens to our bodies.

(23,350 posts)... if the repugs somehow dump Trump and put Pence at the top of the ticket, Pence will select Trump as his running mate.
Hmmm, somehow I doubt that level of commitment.
