Billy Bush Negotiating Exit From NBC After Lewd Tape

Source: NYT

Four days after the explosive Donald J. Trump “Access Hollywood” tape was made public, Billy Bush is negotiating his exit from NBC.

Mr. Bush and NBC are working out the terms of his departure from “Today,” which may come in the next few days, according to two people briefed on the plans.

It would be a swift fall for Mr. Bush after a brief tenure as a host in the 9 a.m. hour of the show. He joined “Today” this summer.

In the videotape from 2005, which was filmed during the taping of an “Access Hollywood” segment, Mr. Bush laughs and goads Mr. Trump as he speaks about women in vulgar and lewd terms, claiming he tried to have sex with the woman who was then Mr. Bush’s co-host.

Good. NBC isn't messing around and neither should our country. Billy Bush didn't get fired for "locker room talk".

Ah ha!
"Given the tape’s incredible visibility, it was likely that Mr. Bush would remain part of the news cycle for the near future. “Today” is in competition with ABC’s “Good Morning America” and the fallout from the videotape could have affected NBC’s ratings in the morning hours, particularly among women, who represent a significant portion of the show’s viewership."

(and he probably would) he is likely to win and then they have to pay him his money plus his legal fees and then he might even win more for firing him and breaking the contract so they are probably going to simply cut their losses and pay his contract off.

Send him to cover the steer judging at the Whiskey Gulch County Fair or travel the country delivering birthday greetings to centenarians. After a while, I believe he will just quit.

that plus it does not really address the problem.
What I suspect will happen if they don't want to get rid of him is that they will announce he has left, been let go or is taking a sabbatical and in a few months they will bring him back once the controversy has died down.

Been off the grid for some time now. I don’t watch cable news only have free air television. So this Billy Bush character is something new or special to me.

A personal experience has turned hobby, an impassioned private endeavor to collect and seek out the history of the Bush family and its secrets, in particular railroad operations and connections or ownership in the Union Pacific railroad.

It is known that Former Vice President Cheney was on the board of directors of the Union Pacific during George W. Bush’s term in office. This was a very powerful logistic position for transportation in materials for the Iraq war.

There is something real creepy about the Bush family connection with this Union Pacific railroad. Any News about Billy Boy Bush, or others keep it coming we want to get it all as the rail road crews would say.

It’s going to get heated up in this part of the industry. The Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, the so called IEEE is conducting talks, electrification of the railroad system.

That is a big deal, and will change the consumption pattern of diesel fuel effecting the gas supply. Imagine the Union Pacific does boast that in burns as much fuel as the American Navy. That’s a lot of fuel to convert to gas. If the Bush own stock in the Union Pacific, they may very well dump it because they are not big on innovation.

Trump could have said, "Gee... Hitler was a great guy!" and Billy would have agreed 100%. I'm not so sure he's a sexist himself - Trump is no doubt a sexist, but Bush was in full bootlicker mode, like he was a puppy and Trump had a treat in his hand.

He's a fucking asshole. I heard that he was not well liked at the Today Show. I know Al Roker can't stand his ass and I'm not sure even Tamron Hall does. He was not what I wanted to see on the 3rd hour of today because he wreaks of WASPY frat boy entitlement. The thing that really bugged me on the tape was his encouragement of the actress to hug Trump after he had just gone on that vile rant!!! So yeah...no sympathy. Bye bitch!!

Orange face. I don't think she wanted to hug Trump at all. She clearly didn't plan on it, and she looked hesitant and uncomfortable. Of course then Trump ordered her to hug Billy Bush. Trump is such a cowardly asshole. He sits there blathering obscene crap in the bus and then pretends he's all sweetness when meeting the actress from the soap opera. Pig.

Here’s A Gross Old Clip Of Billy Bush Asking Jennifer Lopez About Her Butt

How Billy Bush Happened

It’s been five days since leaked audio from a 2005 taping of Access Hollywood revealed long-time NBC employee Billy Bush to be the type of man who not only laughs off stories about sexist behavior (and sexual assaults) told by powerful men, but actually joins in to get a laugh or two of his own.

The Pussygate Tape, as it’s come to be known (I guess?), led to an unprecedented mass rescinding of endorsements for Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump. For Billy Bush, the Lefou to Trump’s Gaston, the backlash was similarly destructive.

ETA~ On the red carpet, he is relentless and unafraid. Leonardo DiCaprio reportedly called him an “idiot”...He got a forearm swat from J.Lo’s bodyguard when he chased her backstage at the Grammys. Bush laughs it off.
