"LePage Calls Obama a 'dictator' in effort to clarify his remarks on Trump"
Source: Bangordailynews.com
AUGUSTA, Maine Gov. Paul LePage held a rare news conference on Wednesday to say that he meant to call Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump authoritative instead of authoritarian in a radio interview the previous day.
But it became much more than a one-word clarification: He also called President Barack Obama a dictator, said the U.S. is so weak that I dont know that were going to be able to survive it and said he had no respect for the media.
The Republican governor, who endorsed Trump in February, spoke for more than 20 minutes from behind a lectern. In front of him were Russian nesting dolls depicting Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton and her husband and former President Bill Clinton.
However, they were alongside dolls depicting former White House intern Monica Lewinsky, whose affair with Bill Clinton led to his impeachment, and two other women who have accused him of sexual misconduct.

(854 posts)but every time I try, I get smacked in the face with the fact that vicious idiots like LePage not only populate every state but are in many cases in charge of government and can be found at every level of authority. On a sane planet this clown would't be able to get elected as the town Dog Catcher. They were here before Trump and they will be here after he has disappeared. They are legion, and they are cruel and stupid.

(6,496 posts)He is done in two years, but he could always run for something else. He has been saying he is, of course, interested in running for US Senate or US Rep because this man is a plague to all us good people in Maine. I bet he'll keep on running for public office until the day he dies just to be a pain in ass to the rest of us.
LePage is like the Darth Vader of Maine.

(5,737 posts)Anytime one of these nitwits says that he/she has "no respect" for the media, the media should AT ONCE, collectively and without another word, turn and pack up all their equipment and exit the nearest door, leaving them with no one to communicate their degree of stupid to the world. How dare they disrespect the media and simultaneously attempt to use them.

But when questioned on how Trump would address those issues, he said, Im just campaigning right now and I dont know enough about his policies"

"When he is in the room, people notice. He does not have to go behind closed doors with his community activists to get things done and to hurt the American people," LePage said.
