Hillary Clinton is pouring more cash into the Omaha-based 2nd District in a bid to win its single electoral vote and to help U.S. Rep. Brad Ashford win re-election.
Her campaign announced Monday that the Hillary Victory Fund a coordinated campaign committee will spend an additional $250,000 in Maine and Nebraska to help with down-ballot campaigns.
Clinton also plans to begin spending money in both Arizona and Texas two traditional Republican strongholds.
Robby Mook, Clinton's campaign manager, made it clear that part of the new spending plan outlined Monday was an effort to help get more Democrats elected to Congress.

Brad is a former R. He doesn't vote D near as much as I'd like. But he is much better than His opponent Don Bacon!
Omaha Mayor Jean Stothert endorses Don Bacon, citing his 'national security expertise': http://www.omaha.com/news/politics/omaha-mayor-jean-stothert-endorses-don-bacon-citing-his-national/article_4aa54806-9486-11e6-b1e5-6ff60a2a574d.html

(4,353 posts)It's nice to hear. The polling must be looking real good right now for the Clinton team to start supporting local races in red areas. I hope we are looking a landslide for president and a sweep of congress. Another week or so and we should have a much better picture of the electorates mood.
