John Kasich skewers Donald Trump's "silly" rigged election claims
Source: CBS News
Former Republican presidential candidate and Ohio Gov. John Kasich is hitting back against the claim that the election is rigged -- an allegation that GOP nominee Donald Trump has repeatedly made in recent days.
When asked in an interview with CBS This Morning early Wednesday whether he believed Trumps assertion of a cooked election was correct, Kasich replied with an emphatic no.
Look, to say that elections are rigged and all these votes are stolen -- thats like saying we never landed on the moon, frankly, said Kasich. Thats how silly it is.

Kasich joins the growing chorus of voices blasting Trumps unfounded claims -- a group that includes House Speaker Paul Ryan, a Wisconsin Republican.

He's positioning for 2020, when he will play the "Return to Sanity" candidate, and almost certainly win his party's nomination.
But there's also good news here: Kasich knows how every precinct in Ohio will go. He's a goddamn expert on Ohio elections. If he's smash-mouthing Trump right now, it's because his internal polling is telling him it's over, even in Ohio.

(10,419 posts)He kept Kasich off the ticket. HRC would have a much tougher adversary in the deceptively reasonable-sounding Kasich.
