Poll: Clinton, Trump virtually tied in Maine’s 2nd District

Source: Bangor Daily News

The latest poll of Maine’s presidential election preferences found Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump in a dead heat in Maine’s 2nd Congressional District, a battleground that’s gotten much more attention than usual this cycle.

The latest polling from the Maine People’s Resource Center, an affiliate of the progressive Maine People’s Alliance, found third-party candidates are having a strong influence in the race, where four-way polling put Clinton at 38.2 percent and Trump at 37 percent in the 2nd District.

About 10.5 percent of the 420 likely voters polled in CD2 were undecided.

In Maine’s 1st District, Clinton held a 10-point lead, with about 7 percent of the 469 likely voters in CD1 undecided.

11. Undecided could also be a polite way of saying 'none of your buisness'...

and/or 'I don't care. I'm not planning on voting anyways'.

14. Often pollsters treat "soft leaners" as "undecided

It could be that which would also explain why some pollsters have high undecideds and some don't.

There are a lot of closet racists, Hell, David Duke even qualified to be in LA. debate. Its gonna be closer then most think IMO, That's why we cant let up at all helping Clinton.

She'll sail to victory outside the conservative north/inland section of Maine.

3. Now, the GOP hasn't won this district since 1988.

And while it is just one electoral vote we're talking about, it would be a symbolically important win for Trump as it would make Maine no longer solidly blue for the first time since Bush-Dukakis.

Let's keep Maine's 2nd true blue.

Most people think of Florida when they think of retirement - but they can keep it. A lakefront or seafront home in Maine would be a dream for me.

13. In September Cain trailed by 10 points - earlier polls had them tied.

I think it is pretty close - and hope those newly registered voters follow through and actually vote.
