Khizr Khan, the father of a U.S. Army captain killed in Iraq whose powerful speech to the Democratic National Convention in July upbraided Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, will campaign for Hillary Clinton on Wednesday at several events in Norfolk.
Khan, who waved a pocket Constitution during the speech that challenged Trumps anti-Muslim statements, will speak to military veterans in a city that is home to the worlds largest naval base. He also plans to appear at a mosque and at a Clinton volunteer event.
Khan, a Pakistani American lawyer who lives in Charlottesville, has appeared in an emotional television advertisement for Clinton, the Democratic nominee, and has made numerous appearances on television and in the news media. ......................

The story of Humayun Khan ...............
Khizr Khan is back. This ad, released by the Clinton campaign on Friday afternoon, features Khan telling his story again.

It shows Khan walking through his home, looking at his son's medals and pictures. The 60-second ad ends with a close-up of a teary-eyed Khan saying this: I want to ask Mr. Trump: Would my son have a place in your America?
It's a remarkably powerful ad, connecting Trump's rhetoric on Muslims to the real pain that such a pledge would inflict on Muslim Americans. Real people would be affected by all of these proposals, the ad reminds us. It's not just words by Trump.
The ad, according to the Clinton campaign, will rotate into swing states, including Florida, Iowa, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio and Pennsylvania................
