Trump rallies for 'Sheriff Joe' in Arizona

Donald Trump on Saturday urged his supporters in Arizona to vote for Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, offering a rare down-ballot endorsement for a vulnerable Republican.

"And folks, he is a good man, he was one of the first endorsers of Donald Trump. Vote for Sheriff Joe!" Trump said at a rally in Phoenix.

"They don't love tough people in this country anymore that know how to do their job and fair people. He's tough, he's fair and I hope he gets reelected. He should. Go out and make sure he gets reelected, everybody," Trump said.

The 84-year-old sheriff is facing a tough reelection battle against his Democratic challenger Paul Penzone.

This is pretty much a clear endorsement of racial profiling by Trump. Can you imagine how a Trump Justice Department would handle voter rights and racial profiling cases?

hasn't Arpaio been charged CRIMINALLY with Contempt of Court and doesn't the CONald profess to be the "law and order" candidate? So why is he endorsing someone that has been charged with criminal activity? Please explain this contradiction. Somebody...anyone....hello, CONald supporters......

And, wow- isn't this classic? According to Trump's world view, Arpaio is worthy because "he was one of the first endorsers of Donald Trump."
His only criterion for worthiness.
