Qatar Airways to 'enforce' Trump travel ban
Source: Al Monitor
Qatar Airways said Saturday it would "enforce" the new rules governing entry to the United States following President Donald Trump's temporary order restricting arrivals from seven Muslim countries.
A spokesperson for the Gulf carrier said it would only carry passengers to the US who had the correct documentation.
"We are enforcing the new rules," said the official.
"If travellers to the US don't have the proper documentation, we are not going to take them to the US."

The news comes after Trump imposed tough new controls on travellers from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen.

(29,322 posts)None of the Wahabbi ruled countries are on the list which shows Trump's cluelessness on terrorism. Iran hasn't been a country known for Wahabbi terrorists outside of CIA-backed "freedom fighters" and Somalia's inclusion is just strange.
Plus I imagine Trump would approve of their labor practices if he hasn't taken advantage of already.

(2,037 posts)But there's a major liability in the Qatari ledger as far as Trump's concerned:
Russia.
Qatar, as you know, is one of the financial mainstays of ISIS. Its Sheikh has made it his personal mission to depose Assad at all costs - and that has put the Sheikh very much in Putin's sights.
The same can be said for the Saudis, of course; but they are far too big a fish even for Putin.

(29,322 posts)Trump will change mind on Muslims: Qatar Airways CEO
Qatar Airways will expand service in the United States wherever it is needed, and is not concerned about a possible Donald Trump presidency, its CEO said Tuesday.
The presumptive GOP nominee has called to temporarily ban Muslims from entering the U.S. However, Qatar Airways CEO Akbar Al Baker believes Trump only said that for political gain.
"I don't think Trump means what he says. He does not realize that he has a lot of investment in Muslim countries and at the same time there is a very huge Muslim population in the United States," he said in an interview with CNBC's "Closing Bell."
"Like all politicians, he says everything but once he gets elected, he will change his mind."
