Trump to announce Supreme Court pick Tuesday at 8 p.m.

President Donald Trump said Monday morning that hes chosen a nominee to fill the vacant Supreme Court seat and will announce it on Tuesday.

I have made my decision on who I will nominate for The United States Supreme Court. It will be announced live on Tuesday at 8:00 P.M. (W.H.), he tweeted.

I hope, though I know this is futile, that the networks have the good sense not to air this infomercial.

I was going to say that for the first twenty-nine minutes, he would talk about the swell new Trump hotel, so convenient to, but much nicer than, the White House. Be sure to try the wine! Granted the odds are low but for Trump it fulfills two things in his mind one being that it tweaks the nose of a lot of the republicans who fought him but he can claim it proves he isn't petty.

Out of the three on his short list, it will end up being someone vetted by either Bannon or Kushner - or maybe his sister, because "she's a judge and knows about this sort of thing", and apparently put one of the candidates on the list. Hopefully the latter - his sister is not known to be a total wingnut - she's a "moderate" conservative, which passes as almost liberal in most circles nowdays.

Trump won't care about the politics of confirmation and doesn't think there will be any opposition, so he won't care about the legal competency of his choice.
