Source: Reuters

The deeply divided U.S. Senate Education Committee on Tuesday agreed to send to President Donald Trump’s nominee for U.S. education secretary, billionaire philanthropist Betsy DeVos, to the full chamber for confirmation, but comments ahead of the vote show DeVos faces choppy waters ahead.

The committee chairman, Republican Lamar Alexander, acted as the tie-breaker for advancing the nomination to the next and final step of the confirmation process after all 11 Republicans on the panel voted for Devos and all 11 Democrats voted against her.

DeVos and all republicans hate schools and teachers, we know this.

They hate educated people very much, we know this.

But at the rate rump is going, I think nuclear war is nearby.

Because they all had accepted large contributions from DeVos or her family.

Shame.

that the republican party deem necessary to be in trump's cabinet.
She is a billionaire.
She donates tons of money to conservatives.
She seems to be not terribly bright.
While they are destroying our government she can be destroying
the public school system.
She fulfills the lifelong dream of republicans that taxpayers of all persuasions can pay for religious education for the fundies.
The list goes on.....

I live in Michigan. The DeVos "Scamway" plan is to wipe out public education. They're all about vouchers and religious education and privatizing our school systems.
