Senate panel approves McMahon to lead Small Business Administration
Source: The Hill
The Senate Small Business and Entrepreneurship Committee voted Tuesday to approve former World Wrestling Entertainment head Linda McMahon to lead the Small Business Administration (SBA).
The vote was 18-1, with the only "no" vote coming from Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.). The nomination now heads to the full Senate for a final vote.
McMahon faced friendly questions from lawmakers on both sides of the aisle during her confirmation hearing last week.
"It goes without saying that a nearly unanimous committee vote to approve her nomination shows that members from both sides of the aisle have great confidence that she is the right leader for the SBA," Sen. Jim Risch (R-Idaho), chairman of the Small Business Committee, said in a release.

(16,104 posts)As in all the Corrupt One's choices, they are mostly laughable, inexperienced and unqualified - with major upside of casual privileged corruption!
If that's what you want, have at it!

(6,974 posts)Like her husband runs the WWE, then the SBA is in trouble.
I can definitely SEE friends of McMahon's or people they do business with via wrestling getting SBA loans steered to them up their eyeballs--and McMahon will make SURE that THAT money will make it's way back TO the McMahon's.
ALL of tRumputin's cabinet picks are billionaires who are not qualified to be heading the various cabinet agencies they've been appointed to lead. They're looking to REALLY line their pockets @ tax-payer's expense as quickly as they CAN-- and before the Illegitimate-in-Chief is impeached, because he's more than likely NOT going to survive a 4 year term.

(65,076 posts). . .for 20 years and now she's a friend of small business? That makes absolutely no sense.
Also, let's remember that was an inherited business. Not exactly a grass roots venture. Yeah, huge growth and an understanding of satellite media ahead of nearly everyone else (except Ted Turner), but still not a grass roots venture. A wrestling promotion in NY is not exactly a start up on a wish and a prayer.
