Few Recall Gorsuch’s Volunteer Work at Harvard
Questions arise over Trump Supreme Court pick’s level of participation in programs to help less fortunate while in law school

His affiliation with these volunteer programs—which offer law school students real-life legal experience representing prison inmates and the poor—helped give Mr. Gorsuch’s deeply conservative résumé a personal touch, and the groups were highlighted in news reports about his nomination.

But roughly three dozen students who participated in the two programs while Mr. Gorsuch was at Harvard Law School from 1988 to 1991 said they have no recollection of his involvement.

The White House gave The Wall Street Journal the name of one Harvard Law School graduate who said he could corroborate that Judge Gorsuch was in the Defenders, but declined to give any details of the judge’s participation. The White House also provided copies of a 2008 email exchange between the Defenders’ alumni director and Judge Gorsuch.

Mr. Gorsuch didn’t appear in any of the yearbook photos for either of the groups during his three years at Harvard, nor was he listed among other students as “not pictured.” Still, other students active in the groups sometimes didn’t appear in the photos, and PLAP and Defenders are clearly informal in many ways, with no official archives.

"three dozen"? That's very conclusive.

And this appeared in the WSJ which is usually extremely favorable to Republican picks.

"three dozen" say he lied! He didn't make many friends there, it seems.

because "no one seems to remember him" (which isn't true).

Republicans never let facts get in the way of a good story.

3. wsj isn't nearly as right-wing as people think. it's only the op-eds that are way, way out there.

5. This sounds like GWB's National Guard duty: no one saw him do it so it didn't happen.

Interesting that None of the others there saw or heard of him participating. For a man with such an outspoken profile he left a rather modest impression on his classmates.

it didn't take long to find out that he was there at a different time period. So, he lied. Surprised? And didn't someone put up $10,000 to anyone who could prove GWB was there? No takers ever came forward.

Three dozen vs one?

I hope Senators Joe Manchin (D-West VA), Heidi Heitkamp (D-North Dakota) & Mark Warner (D-VA) think twice before voting for this lying right-winger....(but I doubt if they will)
