Americans Are Having Doubts About Trumps Agenda: Poll

Source: MSN/Fiscal Times

“A litany of calls to ‘hold your horses, Mr. President,’” Tim Malloy, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Poll, said in a statement summing up the findings. “Americans want President Donald Trump to keep the regulatory reins on business, and voters call for a full stop to laying new pipelines full of oil. They are against taking the knife to Obamacare and opposed to lifting environmental regulations.”

According to the poll, a majority of voters surveyed nationwide (49 percent to 39 percent) are opposed to Trump’s promise to gut Dodd-Frank and other regulations governing Wall Street and businesses. And they say the new president should not decimate regulations and agreements designed to combat climate change, by a two to one margin.

Indeed, 72 percent of the voters surveyed said they were “very concerned” or “somewhat concerned” about the problem of global warming, which Trump once dismissed as a hoax perpetrated by China. Just 17 percent of voters believe the U.S. is doing enough to address the problem, while 59 percent say that “more needs to be done.”

Moreover, 50 percent of Americans don’t want Trump and his GOP allies to repeal and replace Obamacare, which has provided health insurance coverage to more than 20 million people. Not surprisingly, the issue sharply divides the two parties. Eighty-six percent of Democrats are opposed to repealing President Barack Obama’s signature program, while just 10 percent of Republicans want to see Obamacare survive.

Agnew was a like having an old life preserver wrapped around your neck as the boat is sinking. You know it isn't going to do the job and its just a matter of time before both you and the worn out life preserver sink.

We got ourselves a real b*tch of a problem now. How can we fix it? It seems to be an impossibility but, yes, I agree, Pence has got to go along with that reincarnation of Hitler.

The polls where they have doubts or the polls where they support his executive actions? The latter is unspeakably shocking to me.

Just 17 percent of voters believe the U.S. is doing enough to address the problem, while 59 percent say that “more needs to be done.”

He also said climate change is a hoax, but his followers voted for him anyway. It was also pretty clear that he wanted to repeal and replace Obamacare/ACA. It's not like it was a secret!

Plus, most Americans LOVE their Social Security, seniors want their Medicare, and Medicaid is needed by many who require long-term nursing care in their elderly years and especially by the poorest citizens, and the idiots voted FOR the very people who will slash and/or eliminate those programs. May it sting, sting, sting...

who voted Republican and/or for Trump. ALL OF THEM are on Social Security and Medicare -- or VA pensions/Tricare. ALL OF THAT which they live on is "socialism" and "government programs" which they HATE.

YET - NOT ONE OF THEM sends their social security or VA checks back to the gov't saying they "don't accept socialism". IOW they do NOT walk their talk.

Their attitude is: "I've got MINE. To HELL with everyone ELSE. WE need it. THEY don't!"

One of them voted for TRUMP because he said he "wasn't going to vote for no feminism!"

THEY'RE ASSHOLES.

I thankfully live on THE OTHER SIDE OF THE COUNTRY from them and hope to DOG I never have to depend on them for anything. However, since they felt SO inclined to VOTE MY MEDICARE AND SOCIAL SECURITY out of existence (they'll get to KEEP theirs), I may have to kiss their goddamned rings to have a roof over my head when I'm old.

THEY got theirs. They've essentially told ME and everyone else who will ever retire in the future: "GO TO HELL!"

SELFISH STUPID ASSHOLES.
