Trump Disapproval Reaches New Heights In Gallup Poll

Source: Talking Points Memo

By MATT SHUHAM Published FEBRUARY 17, 2017, 1:28 PM EDT

Just four weeks into his term, 56 percent of Americans disapprove of the job Donald Trump is doing as President, according to a Gallup's daily poll released Friday.

It's the highest disapproval for Trump to date in the Gallup survey.

Gallup averages survey results from the previous three days. Through Thursday, the most recent numbers available, 56 percent of respondents disapproved of Trump's performance, while just 38 percent approved.

Thats an 18 percent net drop since the poll started tracking the new President's numbers. Trump started, on Jan. 22, with his approval and disapproval numbers tied at 45 percent, according to Gallup.

are strongly approve or strongly disapprove. The inclusion of the word strongly makes it harder for a Republican to answer in the negative.

....always within the MOE, of course, but they quote the HIGH/LOW (depending on what they're measuring) end when they're throwing those numbers around.

So adjust that disapproval rate upward by three to five points, and you're probably closer to reality....such as it is.

Whining and complaining about how the media is harping on you for not doing your job doesn't change the fact that this guy and the Republicans are so focused on disassembling health care for 20 million Americans, they've dropped the ball on putting people back to work.

"Plumbs" is even better! It fits the narrative of "depths", and gives a nice little callback to the genesis of the Watergate scandal.
