President Trump is set to appoint openly gay Republican, and former U.S. spokesman at the United Nations, Richard Grenell to become the presidents ambassador to NATO, according to a White House official.
The position would make Grenell the highest ranking LGBTQ member of the administration. Bloomberg broke the story and reached Grenell by phone on Wednesday, but he refused to comment.
The Fox News contributor and one time, short-lived national security spokesman for Mitt Romney, before he left that role due to pressure from social conservatives, previously had his name circulated as a possible candidate for Trumps ambassador to the UN. That position went to South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley.
Grenell has been a Trump loyalist since the beginning, and backed his framing of NATO as obsolete.

(16,082 posts)A NATO ambassador who thinks the organization is obsolete...that's like a Education Secretary who doesn't believe in public education, or an EPA Director who believes the EPA should be completely gutted!!!
So, he's a gay man, who is a Republican! Which means he's a Republican first, and gay when it suits his agenda!!!

(11,686 posts)is that he can not use the same bathroom ( he will have to use the one in the basement ), they can refuse to feed him in the cafeteria, If people are mean to him he can not complain, If he is given an overload of work that is more than he is supposed to do he can not complain, as long as he is allowed to have health insurance his companion can not be on his insurance, if someone at work beats him up he can not charge them ( along with anyone anywhere else ), there is a a chance he might be close to his bathroom because they might put his office in the basement, and he may not be allowed to talk to anyone at work or the public coming in.
Kind of sounds like "hidden figures" huh?
