7 arrests made in connection with London attack

Source: AP

British police raided several properties and arrested seven people in connection with the attack outside Parliament that left four dead, including the man who mowed down pedestrians on a bridge and fatally stabbed an officer, a senior police official said.

Metropolitan Police counterterrorism chief Mark Rowley said that he believed the attacker acted alone and was "inspired by international terrorism."

Police raided six addresses, including some in the central city of Birmingham, and arrested seven people in connection with Wednesday's attack by a knife-wielding man, Rowley said.

Rowley refused to identify the attacker, who was killed by police after fatally stabbing a police officer on Parliament's grounds after striking pedestrians with a vehicle on Westminster Bridge.

There may have been no one physically with him yesterday as he carried out the attack, but that was already obvious.

And seven people? As terrorist attacks go, this one was not too elaborate. He used a vehicle and a knife. He could have woken up that morning and just decided to do it, with basically no planning at all. Why would seven other people need to be involved in a conspiracy, to the extent that it would justify their being arrested?

There is no point in playing Thursday morning quarterback so I'll let the story reach its conclusion.

In the US our President stood on a pile of rubble acting tough, let members of the Bin Laden family be the ONLY civilian aircraft authorized to fly and LEAVE the US and then go bomb and invade a Country that had nothing to do with the NYC attack.
