Trump proposed eliminating major climate programs as part of a 31 percent cut to the EPA’s budget, though those changes would not be effective until later this year, if Congress approved them.

Mick Mulvaney, director of the White House’s Office of Management and Budget, told reporters last month that Trump does not believe climate is a worthwhile cause for federal spending.

“I think the president was fairly straightforward — we’re not spending money on that anymore; we consider that to be a waste of your money to go out and do that,” he said...................

I shouldn't be surprised, of course. But it's so obviously shortsighted, so unbelievably stupid.
The military has been planning for climate change for years - is their program going to be forbidden now, too?
Mulvaney is a menace. (He's also, of course, profoundly wrong.)

Impeachment can't come too soon for me. But the thing is: they're ALL bad.

Please, please, make this stop.

Want us to be able to deal with what's coming? Why do they want more misery?

The only reason I can think of is that they are shorting America.

This administration has no problem, in fact they seem to enjoy, spending millions and millions on one senseless bombing but they don't think protecting the air and water we need to survive is important at all. Sad!

I am afraid we have one more chance to right this ship ... and it begins with winning back at least the Senate in 2018. But that in itself won't do it, we need to also reverse these executive decisions and priorities; that obviously means retaking the White House in 2020.

I know some will take the "one more chance" as hyperbole. But I truly believe this. We are the majority. If we don't win in 2020 it will only be because we didn't get the job done.

We better not fuck this up!

Environmental Protection means just that. Are there any laws here that they can't circumvent or blast with "executive orders"?

I don't think rTrump is going to last 4 years, much less eight. Can he destroy the planet in that amount of time that can't be turned around?
