Mitt Romney follows gaffe over Britain's readiness to hold Olympic games by appearing to forget name of Labour leader
He's already questioned the preparedness of Britain to host the Olympic Games and today Mitt Romney added to the gaffe-count of his UK visit by appearing to forget Ed Miliband's name during a press conference.
Following a brief press conference today speculation on social networking site Twitter centered on whether Mr Romney had forgotten the Labour leader's name.
Replying to the Labour leader in front of the press, Mr Romney said: Like you, Mr Leader, I look forward to our conversations this morning ... and recognise, of course, the unique relationship that exists between our nations, our commitment to common values, our commitment to peace in the world and our desire to see a stronger and growing economy.

Not Romney.

Not Romney.
Does this man live in a world populated by abstract nouns?
Very peculiar. But it might explain his inability to relate to, like, actual human beings.

(7,403 posts)I was struck by how much more graceful the UK leaders are with their words than the gaffe addled comments coming from Mr. Romney. The Brits sense that as well with some of their sharp-tongued jabs at Romney.

(10,303 posts)it is quite possible that Mr. Romney will know of the name Milliband sooner or later. That is if he is to continue the "special relationship" with the "Anglo-Saxons".
2015 will be General Election... and if Cameron and Co. keep at it as they are right now, Milliband will be in No. 10.
